Why I am running AGAIN.

I feel like a lot of supporters from other pages are viewing me in a negative light and don’t know the story and or reasoning behind me running in this comp again. So here it is:

The first time I ran was back in March/April when I first joined. I had 1,500 subscribers and still strongly believed I would win. I joined 14 days late and everyone voted like mad to try to get me back on top. We weren’t large by any means but we had drive and determination. We got a little too excited and began making multiple accounts and all the votes were soon removed and deleted. (Before they were this professional and advanced) We accepted defeat and decided to try again.

May: We tried running that next month, 2 days into the competition a big name YouTuber joined and I threw in the white flag before the month even started and accepted defeat, again I did not win.

September: Now with 20,000 subscribers I really believed things would be different. I knew the amount of love my supporters had and I strongly believed we could win. I don’t get any financial aid and in the summer was dropped from all my classes due to a missed payment because I got caught up with YouTube. I then promised my mom I would pay for my entire semesters tuition. I also thought it would be a cool chance to donate $1,000 to charity of my supporters chance and fly to a city with the largest fan base. Everything was going good. On day 12 (i believe) of the competition a new competitor (now good friend and very supportive youtuber) by the name of Shimmy joined. With 200+ thousand subscribers he demolished the competition and took what was rightfully his by putting on the crown. YES, I did leave with $1,000 and YES I am overly appreciative, but that doesn’t cover all the costs of my tuition.

SIDE NOTE: Almost ALL competitors who got second one month came back and ran the next to claim KING.

October: I was then left with a decision, throw in the towel and call it quits (which I never do) or try one last time. I spent day in and out talking to my supporters about how you have to chase your dreams and never quit. How you have to STRONGLY believe in something in order for it to come true. I have grown so much in this journey and one thing I have BOKU amounts of is persistence. My drive and will power and determination is sometimes sickening because I don’t take failure as a road block to give up, but as a reason to try even harder. This is my LAST time ever competing. Am I SOLELY doing this for the money? HEAVENS no, it is the principle behind failing not once, not twice, not three times but getting back up each time and finally achieving your goals. Their is a lot about the title that will fill a void in my list of goals that taught me how important it is to never give up. I do not have a job as of late, I do go to college full time and I do travel for YouTube events. But this is in no means of me being money hungry.

So, I hope that shed a little light and showed you why I am so passionate about running and trying to claim the title of King of the Web even once. It’s a tale of David vs. Goliath. I felt just as strongly about winning back when I had 1,500 subscribers as I do now with 33,000. SO, yeah. Hope you read this, and even if you still don’t agree. Thank you for reading.

With love,
