WORD OF MOUTH: An on going issue relevant today. Many times, I inquire about a certain individual whom I have not met and want to know what he or she is like. Sometimes, the remarks I receive are EXTREMELY negative followed by MANY stories explaining why the person is so bad. But here’s the problem. When I ask, “were you there?” or “did this happen to you?” They reply; NO, but so and so told me. Word of mouth is the worst form of “valid” information ESPECIALLY in regards to other people. In Kindergarten when we would play telephone. When one end started with, “Hi. I like you.” by the time the message went through to the last person it became, “Apples are amazing, btw I hate you.” That childhood game holds a GIGANTIC life lesson that a lot of us over look. So, next time you “hear” a story about someone, before jumping to conclusions, and creating an opinion of the person, hold it off until you go introduce yourself and find out for yourself. God Bless!
